White Spot has a new promotion out where you can get a free $10 Gift Card when you purchase a $50 Gift Card. You can pick one up from any White Spot location, or online on their website.

It’s not a bad deal if you love BC Burger’s as much as I do. The $50 dollar gift card is also redeemable as soon as you purchase it, so if you’re gonna be eating at White Spot with a bunch of people, you almost might as well just get and use the Gift Card.

The small catch is that the bonus $10 dollar gift card can only be used from January 2nd, 2010 to March 31st, 2010.

Lastly, both gift cards will NOT work at any Triple O’s location; they must be used at a regular White Spot Restaurant.

The Gadget Show, from the UK’s Five TV has released what they feel are the “top five websites you’ve never heard of”.

You can view them all here, but one of interest is called www.supercook.com. The site is basically a giant recipe search engine that allows you to search for recipes based on what ingredients you already have at home, since not all of us have everything we need to make a beef bourguignon whenever we feel like it..

The McDonalds on 57th and Knight has a sweet promo on right now where you can get a Cheeseburger for 69c!
The offer will expire on December 13th, and it’s valid each day from 5AM to 12AM.

Starting on December 14th, their new promo will be Happy Meals for only $1.99, and that will expire on December 20th.

This cheap cheeseburger deal reminds me of when they used to be on sale for 39c.. those were the days.. the heart-stopping days..

When Rob Feenie decided to join Cactus Club as the new “Food Concept Architect”, I was definitely a little skeptical. First of all, it sounds like they just pulled that title out of thin air, and secondly, this happened right after the fairly abrupt shut down of his restaurants, Lumiere and Feenie’s after a dispute with his partners.

Cactus Club was never at the top of my list for casual dining. The most attractive thing about the restaurant was the auto-toilet seat covering that they had in the washrooms — and when the washrooms are the coolest thing in your restaurant, you know you have issues.
