Shiosai Sushi Bar in Vancouver
During lunch on Friday, my friend informed me about this gem Japanese restaurant. Shiosai is an authentic Japanese restaurant. Shiosai does not serve cook food. Its a two person show inside. A sushi chef and a cashier. Both are speaking Japanese to each other.
Shiosai is nestled in the Joyce area. The restaurant is very small and with limited sitting room. Looks like most the business is take out from all the condos in the area. I was running errands and wanted to have a quick lunch then decided to do takeout from Shiosai. I was trying to take photos inside the restaurant but was politely refused by the owners. They told me outside only!
June 6, 2009 | Danny | Comments 1Sushi House in Richmond
We haven’t been to Sushi House for lunch in a long time because there are so many restaurants to try in Richmond. Sushi House is a place that is quality over quantity. Sushi House is usually quite busy during lunch time. They have limited seating. There might be a wait if you arrive after 12. Sushi House is dominated by take out orders in the evening.
I was craving for their negihama roll. Negihama is like the negitoro instead with chopped hamachi with green onions. The texture of the hamachi and onions make it an excellent roll. The negihama is only $2.95. You can’t go wrong with the price.

This past Friday we went for lunch at G-Men Ramen, one of the newer ramen places in Richmond, created by the Gyoza King group. This is my second time going there, and they did not disappoint.
