Thai House in Richmond

Thai House

We decided to have lunch at Thai house today. Been coming here for lunch a handful of time over the years. Parking is a little challenging here. If they run out of parking spots then you might find some in the Sun Sui Wah parking lot. The parking lots are connected, but be careful of the reserved spots.

Thai House's Hot and Sour Soup

We all ordered the weekday lunch specials. The lunch specials are $7.50 which includes soup, spring roll, salad, plus your choice of curry with rice. Its quite busy during lunch time and most patrons ordered the lunch specials. The staff were very pleasant and friendly.

Thai House's Kaeng Phed Gai (Boneless chicken with red curry paste, bamboo shoots & coconut milk)

Phil and Kenny had the Kaeng Phed Gai which was boneless chicken with red curry paste, bamboo shoots and coconut milk. They liked the crunchiness of the bamboo shoots. The curry flavors were distinctive with hints of coconut milk. They enjoyed the dish.

Thai House's Kaeng Kiew Waan Gai (Boneless chicken with green curry paste, eggplant, bell peppers & coconut milk)

I had the Kaeng Kiew Waan Gai which was boneless chicken with green curry paste, eggplant, bell peppers and coconut milk. They were quite generous with the chicken and the veggies tasted fresh. The curry was a flavorful, seasoned well and had some heat. I find that the lunch specials are very consistent.

Looks like an alright deal. Curious, how many different lunch specials do they have - e.g. just the two?

Hi! You can get 18 types of chicken, pork or beef curries to choose from for the lunch special. I attached the Thai House’s menu to the post.
